#30DaysofBlues: Jodhpur's old quarter, protected b #30DaysofBlues: Jodhpur's old quarter, protected by the 15th century Mehrangarh Fort, is painted in rich blues. The city in Rajasthan is known for its colours and vibrancy, and the indigo houses are part of the charm.

Jodhpur was founded by the Rathods in 1459. The city flourished in the British rules and Marwaris prospered with the city. After India gained Independence, it became part of Rajasthan. The royal family today resides in the @ajitbhawan, which is also open to guests.

This little insight into the city's history is etched on the walls of the indomitable fort. Come here during one of the music festivals, Jodhpur RIFF or World Sacred Spirit Festival, to fully experience the legacy and culture of Jodhpur. There are beautiful hotels that pay homage to its culture, including @umaidbhawanpalace and @raashotels, where you can live like royalty.

And, don't forget to get a picture clicked at one such blue-painted wall in the city and tag @via_delhi. 📸: Unsplash

#30DaysofBlues: In Switzerland, an encounter with #30DaysofBlues: In Switzerland, an encounter with a cow is a joyful experience. They will be quietly grazing in the valleys, munching on sweet flowers, as you trek in the Alps. Stop and click a few pictures because these gentle animals deserve to be celebrated.

Holy Cow! There are 1.59 million cows in the small dot of a country in Europe. Cow farmers herd the cows up to the Alpine pastures in June, so they can feast on flowers and soak in the summer sun. Those bells that #DilwaleDulhaniaLeJayenge has made famous are part of this tradition. The spring flowers that make their diet is good for the milk and we know how delicious dairy products in Switzerland are 🍫

Did you know that there are more than 450 varieties of Swiss Cheese? And there's the delicious hot chocolate and the likes of Toblerone and Lindt 😍

Switzerland is a beef-eating nation, but it has strong laws for animal welfare, even if they are being butchered for meat. Cows are valued in the country and they're even beauty contests for them!

#30DaysofBlues: Hawaii is enjoying this pause from #30DaysofBlues: Hawaii is enjoying this pause from tourism. Seals and turtles can now be spotted on the beaches, much to the delight of locals and marine biologists.

Hawaii has long complained of over-tourism, with more than 10 million tourists flocking to the islands last year. The state is thinking of introducing new rules to make travel more sustainable and environment-friendly. One of the measures taken is banning sunscreen that harms the corals (it will come into effect in 2021).

#30DaysofBlues: Ko Phi Phi in Thailand is a travel #30DaysofBlues: Ko Phi Phi in Thailand is a travel magnet. The turquoise waters, white cliffs and soft-sand beaches bring travellers from all over the world to the destination where Leonardo Di Caprio's The Beach was filmed 🏝

A boat trip from #Phuket, Ko Phi Phi has two major islands: Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. Ko Phi Phi Don is overrun by tourists who party on the beaches and swim in the ocean, while Ko Phi Phi Leh is the quieter sibling where travellers go for day cruises. If you want to explore Ko Phi Phi and its marine life (great coral reef), be prepared to encounter hoardes of tourists. Tucked in a relatively quieter corner, Phi Phi Island Beach Resort features beachfront bungalows, pools and restaurants, and there's a village nearby for relaxed dining. The resort is also trying to revive the marine life on the island, so if you want to learn about their sustainable initiatives, visit the Marine Discovery Centre.

#30DaysofBlues: I imagine Robinson Crusoe when I l #30DaysofBlues: I imagine Robinson Crusoe when I look at palm-infringed islands like these. It's Pahawang Island, in #Indonesia. It's a prime #divingspot and you can rent a boat and #snorkelling equipment on the island 🚣‍♂️🐟🐠🦀 The island is in the Lampung province of #Sumatra. It's not as popular as Gili Island, so you won't see so many tourists around here. But this is the place to spot the famous #FindingNemo fish, clownfish and it has a vibrant marine life. The island is divided into Big Pahawang, where the travellers normally stay, and the Small Pahawang, connected by a natural bridge that appears on low tides. There are villas and resorts available for travellers, but a day-trip is also possible if you're thinking of a quick #islandgetaway🌴

#30DaysofBlues: Tourism in the Andamans has picked #30DaysofBlues: Tourism in the Andamans has picked up in the last few years. Some islands in the archipelago are still off-bound to travellers and travel to Nicobar is completely banned, but this little slice of #beachheaven in India is accepting #travellers. From Delhi, it's a long way to #PortBlair via Calcutta, but once you reach #HavelockIsland, it's a sight that soothes the soul.

#RadhanagarBeach is the go-to in the Andamans. Its tropical setting is straight out of a travel guide (still not as populated as other #beachesinIndia). But you'd still have to fight the crowds at sunset 🌄

On this #islandgetaway, you can swim in the ocean, explore the forests, eat delicious seafood and learn about the history and culture. Did you know that Andaman and Nicobar islands are home to six indigenious tribes who still live by their own rules?
Two years ago, an American evangelist was killed on a forbidden Andaman island by the endangered tribe who are one of the few people on earth who have lived without outside contact. While travelling to the islands, it's much more important to understand the people who thrive here and their relationship with nature.

There are many resorts on the island now include @taj_andamans and @barefootresorts. These are currently closed due to Coronavirus, but once they open, they can become your window to this beautiful group of islands 🌴

Tourists come to this part of #Australia to surf, dive, snorkel and paddleboard. The cruises are especially popular, as they take you to the wide open ocean where #dolphins are often spotted 🐬

And then there are restaurants, cafes and #beachshacks that cater to families, individuals and #solotravellers. Must-dos: Watersports on the #SurfersParadise Beach, #naturewalk in the Lamington National Park and rides at @seaworldaus.

#30DaysofBlues: Have you ever been to the #Seychel #30DaysofBlues: Have you ever been to the #Seychelles? The #islandnation in the #IndianOcean is known for its tropical vibes, pristine beaches and isolated location. Kate Middleton and Prince George honeymooned here, so you know it's a #popularspot for couples for a #romanticgetaway.

For #Delhitravellers, a return flight to #Mahe will cost about Rs 30,000 and it'll take about 10-12 hours to get there. It has reported 11 cases and 0 deaths from Coronavirus, so once lockdowns end, it may be a safe place to fly off to.

Travel For #MentalHealth: In the last post this we Travel For #MentalHealth: In the last post this week, I'm thinking of what lays ahead. For me, it's the dream of travelling to #NewZealand. The country has a bounty of #naturalbeauty that I can't wait to explore! ⛰

With a great leader like @jacindaardern paving the way for a better future after successfully battling #coronavirus, I can't wait to see for myself why the nation is so loved by travellers. So my #travelbucketlist includes nature walks and hikes, a deep dive into the #maoriculture, cultural discovery and farmers' markets and a gorgeous stay in an eco-friendly resort. Where are you planning to go next for a happy break? 📸: Unsplash

Travel For #MentalHealth: I was exhausted in Decem Travel For #MentalHealth: I was exhausted in December. And a little worried because I quit my full-time job without a plan. But not too worried to cancel my #NewYear trip to #Australia that I had planned back in May 😛

I packed, dealt with some #travelanxiety and took off. The day I arrived, I was so confident that I'd just need a few hours to get into the zone and I assured my friend that we can go out in two hours. I was out like a light in a couple of minutes of talking and then tired for the next two days. #Sydney gave me confidence to #travelsolo again after years (my friend had work), and I visited @tarongazoo, #ManlyBeach, #TheRocks. One afternoon, I just sat on a bench around #CircularQuay and read #Educated by Tara Westover.
#NewYearFireworks happened as schedule, but there was a lot of grief in the air because the country was fighting #bushfires everywhere. We had to be cautious on the #GreatOceanDrive because the fires could shut the routes down. We were lucky though--we made it and saw the invincible @12Apostles and #LochArdGorge.
I came back with over 2,400 photographs (never have I ever clicked so many before on a trip) and great memories from a country that helped me heal. What a trip!

The UK has rejected my visa twice. Once even after The UK has rejected my visa twice. Once even after an invitation letter from @airbnb. They didn't trust that I'll come back. The worst part? It has been my dream to go to #England since I was a child. I wanted to do all the touristy things: knock on #SherlockHolmes house in Baker Street, visit the @wbtourlondon to see the magical world of Harry Potter ⚡, attend a Jane Austen tea party in Bath. You know, the usual things 😁

What has it taught me? Things don't always go your way. Sometimes, you need a Plan B in life. Sometimes, there's none and you learn to live with it. I'm not so obsessed with the city anymore, because you also grow out of your fantasies, which is not a bad thing 📸: Unsplash

Note: Glenfinnan Viaduct was featured in many #HarryPotter movies.
